"Burning Passion for Entrepreneurship, Building Dreams in Youth." The once soft spoken Wu dialect has transformed into the slogan of entrepreneurs for this era, evolving the charm of Suzhou gardens' "recreating the universe within a small space" into the entrepreneurial wave of "sailing through the sea in paradise." On August 13, 2019, the third "Innovate Jiangsu" University Student Entrepreneurship Competition Suzhou City Division came to a successful conclusion at the Dantaihu Hotel in Suzhou.

Since the inaugural Suzhou Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition held in 2008, this year marks the twelfth edition with the theme "Burning Passion for Entrepreneurship." It has brought forth a large number of vibrant, creative, and passionate entrepreneurs, showcasing the era of entrepreneurship in Suzhou!



The projects of participating teams this year cover various fields including biomedicine, information technology, cultural creativity, intelligent manufacturing, and new materials. This competition innovates in its format, aiming to demonstrate the abilities of entrepreneurs through the competition, with the implementation of projects as the guiding principle. Through processes such as registration, qualification review, project evaluation, and on-site visits, a total of 12 entrepreneurial teams advanced to the finals, with 13 entrepreneurs nominated for the competition award. The top four entrepreneurial teams in the finals will advance to the 2019 "China·Suzhou" University Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition Grand Finals.

This competition was jointly organized by the Suzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Suzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau, Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, and Suzhou Municipal Women's Federation. It was undertaken by the Suzhou Labor and Employment Management Service Center (Suzhou Entrepreneurship Guidance Center). This event received support from the Employment Promotion Center of Shanghai, Employment Promotion Center of Songjiang District, Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Employment Services, Huzhou Municipal Bureau of Employment Services, and Xuancheng Public Employment (Talent) Service Center. It was co-organized by Suzhou Bank Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Association of Independent Entrepreneurs.


Approximately 300 participants attended the event, including leaders from the organizing units such as the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Development and Reform Commission, leaders from relevant departments of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor cities, officials from human resources and social security bureaus in various counties and districts, staff from employment management (entrepreneurship service) institutions, incubators/coworking space managers, representatives from the Association of Independent Entrepreneurs, mainstream media, and entrepreneurs.

This competition introduced innovative changes to the competition format. This year's new format highlights a dual focus on "talent + projects," emphasizing the distinctive characteristics of competitions in the field of human resources and social security. It added segments such as "Entrepreneurs' Voices," "Entrepreneurs' Actions," and "Entrepreneurs' Responses," emphasizing aspects of entrepreneurs' entrepreneurial experiences, capabilities, and team building, aiming to allow entrepreneurs to comprehensively demonstrate their entrepreneurial qualities and styles.


Additionally, this competition included on-site visits as a new segment. The competition organizing committee arranged for judges to visit the operational sites of the 12 finalist entrepreneurial enterprises to observe their operations firsthand, particularly focusing on the profitability and employment impact of the projects, ensuring the authenticity and effectiveness of the projects.


Introduction to "Chuang e Loan"



At the event, staff from Suzhou Bank introduced the "Chuang e Loan" platform to entrepreneurs. This platform was established by the Joint Meeting of Suzhou Municipal Fumin Entrepreneurship Guarantee Loan and built by Suzhou Bank to address the funding difficulties faced by entrepreneurs.


G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor City Entrepreneurship Competition Matching Ceremony

At the event, leaders from relevant departments of G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor cities conducted a matching ceremony for the entrepreneurship competition with deputy leaders from various county-level human resources and social security bureaus. They also extended invitations to entrepreneurship teams from G60 cities to participate in the 2019 "China·Suzhou" National College Students Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.

The Suzhou Division of the Third "Create Jiangsu" University Student Entrepreneurship Competition has successfully concluded, but this is just the beginning of the 2019 "China·Suzhou" National College Students Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.


In September 2019, the domestic university competition will commence. Entrepreneurial teams recommended by universities outside Suzhou will sign up, and the competition organizing committee will conduct qualification reviews and evaluations to select four teams to advance to the "China·Suzhou" National Finals. In October 2019, the overseas team competition will follow suit. Entrepreneurial teams will sign up for the competition organized by overseas entrepreneurship service agencies and undergo the same process, with two teams selected to advance to the "China·Suzhou" National Finals.


Through the fierce competition in the local university competitions, local youth competitions, domestic university competitions, and overseas team competitions, the judging panel will ultimately select 12 entrepreneurial teams to participate in the 2019 "China·Suzhou" National College Students Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition Finals and Award Ceremony scheduled for November 2019. Let us look forward to this entrepreneurial celebration together!
