1. Environmental Management Requirements
1.1 Ensure that all production and business activities comply with the applicable environmental laws and regulations of the country or region where they operate.
1.2 Establish, maintain, monitor, report, assess, audit, and continuously improve the Yihai Kerry environmental management system to comply with ISO 14001 and other relevant environmental and sustainable development standards.
1.3 Develop specific environmental goals and indicators, striving for sustainable improvement in environmental performance.
1.4 Regularly report environmental performance and issues, including infringements and non-compliance matters, to the Sustainable Development Committee.
2. Environmental Management Measures
2.1 Consistently adhere to compliant and transparent management of pollutants (wastewater, exhaust gases, waste), achieving sustainable development through effective control of pollutant emissions at every operational stage.
2.2 Encourage the recycling of resources, strive for the optimization of packaging materials, and use high-performance, easily degradable, recyclable, and renewable materials to increase the recycling rate of waste by-products.
2.3 Address climate change through measures such as reducing the use of natural resources, utilizing renewable clean energy, improving energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption, recycling wastewater treatment biogas, minimizing energy waste, etc. Strive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and encourage suppliers to actively address climate change.
2.4 Commit to achieving transparent, traceable, and sustainable palm oil procurement, ensuring no environmental harm is caused.
2.5 Implement biodiversity conservation in company operations and the supply chain according to international and national standards, minimizing impacts on flora, fauna, and the ecological environment.
2.6 Identify, report, investigate, and resolve all environmental incidents and non-compliance issues, taking measures to prevent recurrence.
3. Publicity and Advocacy
3.1 Conduct environmental awareness campaigns and relevant training for employees, encouraging their participation in environmental protection actions to minimize adverse impacts on the environment.
3.2 Promote and disseminate this environmental policy to ensure that all employees, business partners, and other stakeholders understand the environmental impacts of the company's production and business activities, along with their respective responsibilities.
3.3 Collaborate with business partners and other stakeholders to negotiate environmental issues and collectively assume the necessary environmental responsibilities.
3.4 Share environmental goals and performance with employees and other stakeholders through the company's annual sustainability report.
4. Policy Review
The company rerly reviews and updates this policy in accordance with legal regulations, its own business development, industry common practices, and established standards.
