District CPPCC Holds Key Proposal Supervision and Promotion Meeting

On April 7, the District Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a Key Proposal Supervision and Promotion Meeting to discuss the implementation of Proposal No. 69 from the Third Session of the Fifth District CPPCC Conference. The proposal, titled "Clarifying Industrial Carriers, Implementing ‘Industry Going Upstairs,’ Promoting ‘Data for Land,’ and Fully Advancing Economic Growth in the District," was reviewed and supervised during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Xu Zhenhua, Chairman of the District CPPCC, who delivered a speech, and Yu Keming, Vice Chairman of the District CPPCC, who presided over the session. Also present were Huang Guofeng, Secretary-General of the District CPPCC, and Qin Gang, Director of the Proposal Committee.



Field Research on Key Enterprises

The research team conducted on-site visits to Suzhou Jinji Food Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu High-end High-tech Industrial Park. They inspected enterprise exhibition halls, science education centers, underground parking facilities, production workshops, and industrial parks to gain an in-depth understanding of business operations, industrial base projects, and future development plans.

The team highly recognized the enterprises' achievements and emphasized that businesses are the main drivers of technological innovation. Enterprises are encouraged to apply for high-quality projects, drive high-quality industrial growth, and foster new productive forces to inject momentum into Wuzhong District’s innovation-driven development.


Roundtable Discussion

During the following discussion session, proposal committee members introduced the background and objectives of the proposal and shared their insights. The District Industry and Information Technology Bureau reported on the progress of proposal implementation, Industry Going Upstairs initiatives, and Data for Land projects. The Wuzhong Natural Resources Bureau and the District Investment Promotion Center provided updates on land resource support for projects and policies encouraging Industry Going Upstairs. Meanwhile, representatives from the Economic Development Zone, High-tech Zone, and Mudu Town supplemented the discussion with local implementation cases.

Key Takeaways and Future Directions

Xu Zhenhua emphasized that Proposal No. 69 is well-targeted and highly practical, providing valuable guidance for the district’s economic growth. He urged the implementing agencies to enhance their political awareness, take greater responsibility, and treat proposal implementation as a key task to support the district's economic development.

The meeting highlighted the following priorities:
Strengthening the "Industrial Powerhouse" strategy by optimizing industrial carriers, implementing Industry Going Upstairs, improving land use efficiency, and enhancing spatial planning.
Advancing the "Data for Land" initiative by leveraging data resources to drive regional economic growth.
Increasing policy support to improve the business environment, stimulate enterprise innovation, and promote high-quality economic development.
Enhancing democratic supervision by continuing research, inspections, and enterprise engagement to address business challenges, refine policy implementation, and ensure practical and effective proposal execution.

The meeting was attended by leaders from the District Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Wuzhong Natural Resources Bureau, District Investment Promotion Center, Economic Development Zone, High-tech Zone, and Mudu Town, along with relevant department representatives.
