On the evening of September 21st at 8:00 p.m., the themed lecture "Blossoming Youth in the Fight Against the Epidemic, Firming Confidence in the System" proceeded as scheduled. In order to better understand and learn from entrepreneurial stories, the students of our university's Youth Talent Project actively participated in the online learning of the "Navigation · First Lesson of the School Year."
In this faith-sharing class, the advanced students of our university's Youth Talent Project listened to speeches from two company managers, Sun Ke and Pan Pei. Sun Ke is the general manager of Suzhou Cornigs Polyol Co., Ltd., who has won numerous first prizes in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. Pan Pei is the general manager of Jiangsu Sishui Liangnong Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. He has progressed from being a "rural e-commerce entrepreneurship model" to becoming a "rural youth leader," and this year he was awarded the "May Fourth Youth" medal. Through live streaming learning, the students of the advanced class of our university's Youth Talent Project shared their new insights:
Group One: Li Junyi, Life Committee Member, Class of 181, College of Agriculture
Mr. Pan Pei, who had obtained a stable job in Shanghai after graduating from university, chose to return to his hometown to start a business after his father fell seriously ill. He managed to balance his career with caring for his parents, demonstrating an exemplary sense of filial piety. After returning to his hometown, he used his business acumen and sharp insight to find a path to prosperity in his impoverished hometown. Through continuous learning and effort, he finally achieved significant income through the cultivation of lotus roots. By employing a method of co-cultivation of prawns with lotus roots, he pioneered the prawn industry, earning him the nickname "Big Shrimp Pan." Mr. Pan's diligent entrepreneurial journey is undoubtedly a model for us all. In our future study and life, we should continuously learn, strive, and demand the best of ourselves, just like his entrepreneurial journey.
Group Two: Han Yutong, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, School of Economics and Management
The two speakers of the first lesson of "Navigation" were Sun Ke and Pan Pei, both successful entrepreneurs. I gained a lot from their sharing of their entrepreneurial experiences and stories. In this era of opportunities and challenges, we need the courage to break through the waves, the perseverance to pursue excellence, and the determination not to be defeated by difficulties. Although I am not an entrepreneur, the valuable spirit they embody is worthy of my learning as I walk along the path of growth. I was deeply touched by Pan Pei's story of returning to his hometown to start a business. He not only realized his own value but also significantly improved the lives of many people in his hometown and promoted local economic development. As a student of an agricultural college, I will strive to use my professional knowledge to contribute my youth to the development of my hometown.
Group Three: Bao Xin, Party Building Class Monitor, School of Foreign Languages
As Sun Ke, the founder of Suzhou Cornigs Polyol Co., Ltd., said, in this era of opportunities and challenges, China's economy is rapidly developing, and the country calls on young people to innovate and start businesses. In such a context, as young people, we should seize the opportunity. Firstly, we should start from our own interests and familiar professions, constantly improve our abilities, and equip ourselves with sufficient theoretical knowledge and professional skills. In addition, entrepreneurs need to have a forward-looking vision and decisive execution to seize opportunities. However, the road of entrepreneurship is never smooth sailing. It requires entrepreneurs to persevere and never give up on their beliefs.
Today's society encourages youth innovation and entrepreneurship. As young people, we should also seize the opportunity, adapt to the development of the times, and blossom in our youth! In the new era, as youth riding on the train towards a moderately prosperous society, we welcome a new spring. The 2020s are coming to an end, and ahead of us is a future that is richer, stronger, freer, and broader. Let's go for it! With our dreams, let's shine brightly in our lives.
