The School Held the 2021 "Internet Plus" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Summary and Commendation Conference, and the 2022 Competition Mobilization Meeting.|CORNIGS Polyols_Leading Synthetic Biology Enterprise

On the afternoon of January 14th, our school held the 2021 "Internet Plus" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Summary and Commendation Conference, as well as the 2022 Competition Mobilization Meeting, in the Report Hall on the fifth floor of the Hongyi Building. Deputy Director Wei Yongjun from the Higher Education Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Secretary of the School Party Committee Rui Hongyan, and Gong Jianming, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University, attended the meeting. More than 200 people, including leaders from the Academic Affairs Office, the Youth League Committee, the Information Management Center, the Student Affairs Office, the School of Science, and representatives of teachers and students from various colleges attended the meeting. The conference kicked off with the passionate video "The Road to Gold." Director Lu Weidong of the Academic Affairs Office delivered a summary report on the 2021 competition. Sun Ke, the outstanding alumna of our school and general manager of Suzhou Cornigs Polyol Co., Ltd., as well as Li Jiaduo, a graduate student from the School of Mechanical Engineering, spoke as student representatives. Chen Chenzi, the Party Secretary of the School of Electrical and Control Engineering, and Chen Zhou, a teacher from the School of Mechanical Engineering, shared their experiences as guiding teachers. Fu Changyi, the Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical Engineering, shared the experience and gains of the competition on behalf of the school. Subsequently, the leaders present awarded prizes to the winning teams and representatives of teachers and students. In his mobilization speech, Vice President Gong Jianming introduced his feelings when he visited the competition site during the finals. He hoped that the Academic Affairs Office and relevant departments would continue to summarize their experiences, closely follow the requirements of the new era, continuously promote the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, create a good atmosphere for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education, and strive for greater achievements in the 2022 competition. Deputy Director Wei Yongjun fully affirmed the work of our university in cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents and reviewed with deep affection the experience of hosting the second Jiangsu "Internet Plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at Nanjing Tech University. He made four suggestions: first, focus on the fundamental issues and adhere to the fundamental task of moral education; second, strengthen top-level design, further promote the deep integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education, professional education, and ideological and political education; third, promote system construction and integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education throughout the entire process of education, innovation, incubation, and industry; fourth, build a nurturing ecosystem and use innovation and entrepreneurship education as an important breakthrough in talent training reform. Secretary Rui Hongyan congratulated the winning teams and teachers and students in her concluding speech. She pointed out that the "Internet Plus" competition has become the largest international innovation and entrepreneurship event covering all universities in the country and targeting all college students. She emphasized that the entire university should raise awareness, focus accurately, and take multiple measures to vigorously promote the school's innovation and entrepreneurship education to a new level, contribute "double creation power" to building our university into a first-class internationally renowned entrepreneurial university and a high-level university in Jiangsu Province, and strive to compose a splendid chapter in the development of our school's innovation and entrepreneurship education! Professor Shen Xiaobing, Secretary-General of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Working Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association, and Wang Peng, Chairman of Jiangsu Jinyixianci New Material Technology Co., Ltd., were also invited to give special reports on the in-depth interpretation of the "Internet Plus" competition and the preparation link.
