Since 2009, the Suzhou Youth Elite Entrepreneurship Competition has been jointly organized by the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Suzhou Talent Office, the Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau, and other units. As an important part of the annual Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week, which is a key focus of the Suzhou Municipal Committee and Government, the eleventh edition of the competition has attracted 4,060 entrepreneurial projects from major universities, research institutes, and social organizations both domestically and internationally. Among the 363 winning projects, 172 have been settled in Suzhou, receiving more than 11 million yuan in funding. These projects have introduced outstanding entrepreneurial teams and high-level young talents to Suzhou, gathering leading young talents in frontier science and technology to serve Suzhou's industrial upgrading.

1. Development and Utilization of Functional Polyols

Project Overview: Suzhou Cornigs Polyol Co., Ltd. is a university student entrepreneurial enterprise specializing in the development and utilization of functional polyols. Through patented technology, the company can rapidly develop functional polyols, achieve rapid trial production of new products through a new generation of GMP standard intelligent production lines, and optimize product performance through targeted analysis with online sensors. This enables the fastest commercial-scale production of functional polyols to better meet the actual needs of customers. Currently, Cornigs Polyol's products have successfully entered Fortune 500 companies such as BASF in Germany, DuPont in the United States, FujiFilm in Japan, and Danisco in Denmark, entering the global industrial chain and participating in global competition on the world stage.




Functional polyols are suitable for stable solution carriers, the cosmetics industry, the food industry, organic synthesis, materials science, the electronics PCB field, etc. They can also be customized according to customer requirements. Sounds impressive!


2. Lipid-Based Drug Delivery System and p75-ECD Treatment for Alzheimer's Disease and Myocardial Infarction

Project Overview: With economic development and population aging, the incidence of neurological and cardiovascular diseases in China has been on the rise, with clinical demand far from being met. This project explores the application of p75 neurotrophin receptor extracellular domain (p75-ECD) FC human recombinant protein in the treatment of neurological and cardiovascular diseases. Preliminary pharmaceutical and pharmacological toxicological studies have been completed, and clinical studies are expected to commence within two years. The project has also developed an early diagnosis kit for Alzheimer's disease as an auxiliary tool, expected to obtain market approval in 2020. Based on lipid-based drug delivery systems and solid dispersion technology, the project has developed an oral formulation of edaravone for the treatment of acute cerebral infarction, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. The project has received investment from WuXi AppTec and has completed preclinical studies. Phase I clinical studies are about to commence in Australia, with expectations for market sales within three years.

3. High-End Intelligent Dexterity Hands and Their Wisdom

Project Overview: Jundo Robotics is a high-tech company dedicated to the research and development and production of high-end intelligent industrial dexterity hand products. It caters to the increasingly flexible functional requirements of industries such as automobiles, logistics, and service robots, providing customers with intelligent robot hand products and gripping system solutions. The company's core R&D team graduated from well-known universities such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Beihang University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Bristol in the UK.
