To implement the requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League on the in-depth implementation of the project to cultivate young Marxist leaders and further deepen the implementation of the project to cultivate young Marxist leaders among college students, from September 20th to 27th, the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Provincial Student Union organized the closing ceremony of the 13th session and the opening ceremony of the 14th session of the Jiangsu Provincial Elite Talents School for University Students through a combination of online and offline activities. It is reported that since 2007, the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Provincial Student Union have initiated the implementation of the project to cultivate young Marxists, conducting training for elite students in universities, selecting main student cadres from universities across the province, and conducting one-year training for young Marxists. Over the past decade, the "Project to Cultivate Young Marxists Among College Students" in Jiangsu Province has achieved certain results, gradually establishing a three-level training model of provincial, university, and college, and a training pattern of "hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands". The provincial-level training has trained more than 3,000 students. In 2020, the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Provincial Student Union implemented the "Opinions on Further Deepening the Project to Cultivate Young Marxists", further improving the selection standards for students. 204 outstanding students were selected from universities within the province, and student training was strengthened in terms of theoretical study, practical exercises, and red revolutionary education, aiming to cultivate a group of young political backbone with loyal political character, strong patriotism, solid theoretical foundation, outstanding ability, and integrity and popularity. After the conclusion of this online and offline concentrated training, students will carry out one-year autonomous learning according to the annual training plan, including ideological and political theory study, thematic preaching, political life exercise, internship practice, etc.
