Sun Ke, male, born in 1991, a member of the Communist Party of China, General Manager of Suzhou Cornigs Polyol Co., Ltd., selected for the leading talent program in innovation and entrepreneurship in Suzhou. He has successively won the National Gold Award in the 2016 "National College Student Entrepreneurship Competition Practical Competition," the Silver Award in the 2018 China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the First Prize in the 2019 "Creating Jiangsu" College Student Entrepreneurship Competition, and the First Prize in the 2020 Jiangsu "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

Innovation, Determined Resolve:

In 2011, while still an undergraduate student, Sun Ke conceived the idea of entrepreneurship. In the university laboratory, he met the core members of his team, and the intersection of disciplines and collision of thoughts brought forth fresh ideas. Developing functional polyols from different technical paths led to innovative products and application solutions, resolving many bottlenecks in the industrial chain.

With this research and his own business plan, Sun Ke participated in the provincial college student entrepreneurship competition and won the gold award, further solidifying his determination to start a business. After the competition, Sun Ke established the Cornigs Enterprise and embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship, Steady Progress:

Functional polyols can be applied in many industries such as precision electronics, new energy, and biodegradable materials. As the application industries continue to expand, the demand for product quality and production capacity is increasing. Sun Ke realized the need to build a production line to support business development.

In less than three months, Sun Ke led the team to complete the construction of a ten-thousand-level purification workshop, installation of modular production lines, and equipment commissioning. The first-phase project of China's first GMP-standard automated production line for polyols was successfully put into operation and obtained the production license issued by the Food and Drug Administration. Now, the design of the second-phase project has been completed and will officially commence in October this year. This also signifies the steady progress of the industrialization of Sun Ke's research projects.

Creation, Winning Arbitration:

In 2017, just as the company was gaining momentum and entering the fast lane, Corning Group of the United States launched a challenge and initiated intellectual property litigation, arbitrating simultaneously in Beijing and Hong Kong. Such dual-location litigation was subject to domestic regulations and international WIPO rules, which many startups could not afford to lose or engage in protracted legal battles.

Sun Ke was confident and determined to "fight to the end." With the assistance of the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, he compiled nearly 300 pages of responsive materials, comprehensively rebutting the company's legality, technical originality, etc., and won arbitration simultaneously in Beijing and Hong Kong. This case also became the only successful cross-border intellectual property arbitration case in Jiangsu Province in 2018.
