On July 11th, the 13th Suzhou Youth Elite Entrepreneurship Competition Finals and Awards Ceremony, themed "Winning in Suzhou, Creating a Winning Future," was successfully held. Yang Zhiping, Deputy Mayor of Suzhou Municipal Government, attended the competition and delivered a speech. Pan Wenqing, Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League (CYL), also attended the competition and presented awards to the first prize winners. Other attendees included Zhai Keqiang, Deputy Minister of Organization Department of Suzhou Municipal Committee and Director of Suzhou Talent Office; Fang Fang, Deputy Secretary of Suzhou Municipal CYL (in charge); He Jianhua, Deputy Director of Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Tang Ning, Director of Suzhou Science and Technology Service Center; Zhang Bo, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Suzhou Daily Newspaper Group. Representatives from the Secretary's Office of Suzhou Municipal CYL, expert judges of the competition, leaders of CYL committees in various districts and counties, representatives of Suzhou Youth Innovation Camp Ambassadors, representatives of participating teams, and representatives from various media outlets, totaling more than 100 people, attended the event.


In his speech, Deputy Mayor Yang Zhiping expressed his hope that young entrepreneurs would enhance their sense of responsibility, set ambitious goals, engage in innovative entrepreneurship, and actively participate in entrepreneurial practices. He also encouraged them to be pragmatic, maintain a balance between lofty aspirations and practical actions, and seize opportunities by choosing Suzhou as the base to realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

As a sub-event of the "Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week," the 13th Suzhou Youth Elite Entrepreneurship Competition was officially launched in May of this year. It relied on the Suzhou Daily's university youth league committee, alumni from well-known universities in Suzhou, and held campus preliminary competitions at prestigious universities in the Yangtze River Delta such as Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Anhui University, effectively expanding the source of projects. Since the launch of the competition, it has attracted 500 projects from home and abroad to participate, covering multiple fields such as next-generation information technology, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. After preliminary preparations, project promotions, online initial reviews, and semi-final defenses, a total of 6 outstanding projects from both the non-resident group and the resident group have advanced to the finals.


After intense competition, the winning projects have been announced. The project "Efficient RFIC Intelligent Debugging Technology Based on Knowledge Graph" from the Suzhou Institute of Advanced Research, University of Science and Technology of China, and the project "Research and Industrialization of FFF Industrial-Grade Plastic 3D Printing Equipment" from Kunshan Owei 3D Technology Co., Ltd. were awarded first prizes in the non-resident group and the resident group, respectively.

Deputy Mayor Yang Zhiping of the Suzhou Municipal Government and Deputy Secretary Pan Wenqing of the Provincial Communist Youth League presented awards to the first prize winners.

Deputy Director Zhai Keqiang of the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Municipal Talent Office, and Deputy Secretary (in charge of work) Fang Fang of the Municipal Communist Youth League presented awards to the second prize winners.

Deputy Director He Jianhua of the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau, Director Tang Ning of the Suzhou Science and Technology Service Center, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief Zhang Bo of the Suzhou Daily Party Committee presented awards to the third prize winners.


The competition invited five professional judges to comment on the final projects, including Tang Chao, Chairman of Suzhou Guta New Materials Co., Ltd., Wang Yang, General Manager of TSITE-Suzhou Yinnuofi Technology Incubation Management Co., Ltd., Xie Minxiao, Partner of Jairui Capital, Bai Yu, Vice Dean of the School of Nanoscience and Engineering Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University (Suzhou), and Li Na, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Enterprise Informatization Association and Secretary-General of the Suzhou Industrial Internet Industry Alliance.

During the competition, Sun Ke, General Manager of Suzhou Cornigs Polyol Co., Ltd., and Tang Chao, Chairman of Suzhou Guta New Materials Co., Ltd., respectively shared their entrepreneurial themes.

The Suzhou Youth Elite Entrepreneurship Competition has been successfully held for thirteen sessions since its inception in 2009, attracting a total of 5,057 entrepreneurial projects. It has provided financial support of 11.5 million yuan to entrepreneurial projects. In the next step, the Suzhou Communist Youth League will further implement the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee and Government to create a "entrepreneurial paradise" and an "innovator's paradise," promote the development of the digital economy and digitalization, focus on the goal of building a "youth development-oriented city" proposed in the 14th Five-Year Plan and the 2035 Vision of Suzhou, upgrade entrepreneurship services, deepen the youth talent service system, contribute youthful vigor to building Suzhou into the "most beautiful window," and contribute to the construction of a socialist modern strong city!
