From October 12th to 15th, the National Finals of the 7th China International "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, co-hosted by 12 central ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, concluded at Nanchang University. Sun Chunlan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the closing ceremony. Our university achieved a significant historic breakthrough in this competition, winning two national gold awards and one silver award in the Higher Education Track, as well as one national bronze award in the Industry Track, achieving the best performance in the history of participation.

The scale and quality of the "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have been increasing year by year, making it the largest entrepreneurship event covering all universities nationwide and involving the most students. In this competition, a total of 4,347 colleges and universities from 121 countries and regions participated, with over 2.28 million projects and more than 9.56 million individuals registering for the competition, representing a 55% increase in project participation and a 51% increase in the number of participants. The projects led by our university's Sun Ke, " Cornigs Polyols: Leader in Polyols, Conquering the Trillion-Dollar Starry Sea " (supervised by Chen Chenzi, etc.), and Li Jiaduo, "Thermal Entropy High-temperature-resistant Superinsulating Composite Materials" (supervised by Chen Zhou, etc.), were highly recognized by the on-site judges. Both projects won the national gold award in the finals as the top teams and also qualified for the "Top Three Qualifying Matches" in the Higher Education Track, with only seven projects from Jiangsu Province and 47 projects nationwide qualifying for this stage. Kang Jingqi's project, "Pine Nut Learning Society Empowering Youth Career Growth" (supervised by Ma He, etc.), won the silver award in the national finals of the Higher Education Track. In addition, Huang Shuntian's project, "Research and Industrialization of High-performance Nano-porous Aerogel Composite Materials" (supervised by Cui Sheng, etc.), won the national bronze award in the Industry Track.

The school attaches great importance to the "Internet+" College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The Academic Affairs Office meticulously organizes it, with dedicated guidance from teachers, and a sustained high level of enthusiasm from participating students. Since the initiation of the "Excellent Innovation Plan" selection, the whole school has seen over 600 projects with nearly 3000 participants registering for the competition. Throughout various stages including project selection, on-site training, simulated evaluations, coaching, and roadshow presentations, the school has held over a hundred team meetings, providing guidance and strategies for competition projects.

Secretary Rui Hongyan and President Qiao Xu have been closely following the nurturing and preparation of projects. During the final sprint before the gold medal contest, they even visited the preparation site, offering encouragement to participating teams and guiding the preparation work. During the national final gold medal contest, Vice President Gong Jianming led a team to Nanchang, holding on-site mobilization meetings to cheer on the students. Vice President Ling Xiang went to Nanchang to congratulate and visit the winning teams, attending the top three competition and award ceremony.

Departments and colleges such as the Student Affairs Office, Graduate School, Youth League Committee, Information Management Center, and University Science and Technology Park have collaborated closely, providing crucial support for personnel allocation, project nurturing and exploration, and ensuring conditions for success.

The "Internet+" competition has become a key support for implementing the fundamental task of moral education and talent training quality improvement in higher education. It serves as an important platform for promoting the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities, showcasing the achievements of teaching reforms in the new era of higher education, and becoming a global event for young students worldwide to realize their dreams of innovation and entrepreneurship. The Academic Affairs Office will continue to work with relevant departments, using participation in the "Internet+" competition as a starting point to continuously discover and nurture high-quality projects. They will adhere to the principle of "learning, teaching, and innovation through competition," implement relevant support policies, further enhance college students' awareness and ability in innovation and entrepreneurship, and strive to cultivate young students into a powerful force for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, contributing "double innovation" to the construction of a first-class internationally renowned entrepreneurial university in China!
