Recently, the final round of the 7th China International "Internet Plus" College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Nanchang University. After intense competition, our school won a total of 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal.

The China International "Internet Plus" College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is jointly organized by twelve ministries including the Ministry of Education and local provincial-level governments. This year marks the seventh edition of the competition. The event was officially launched in April 2021 under the theme "I dare to venture, I can innovate," attracting over 2.28 million projects and more than 9.56 million participants from 121 countries and regions worldwide, representing 4,347 institutions.

Our school's projects, "Cornigs Polyols: Cornigs Polyols: Leader in Polyols, Conquering the Trillion-Dollar Starry Sea " and "Thermal Entropy Ultra High-Temperature Resistant Insulation Composite Material," both secured first place in their respective groups, winning gold medals at the national finals. Additionally, they both qualified for the Higher Education Main Track "Top Three Qualifying Competition" (out of 47 projects nationwide, only 7 from Jiangsu qualified for the "Top Three Qualifying Competition").

During the preparation period, school leaders showed great concern for the participating teams, attending multiple live roadshow presentations of the final teams, engaging in in-depth discussions with both students and teachers about their projects, and providing targeted guidance and suggestions, ensuring a strong guarantee for the improvement of the teams' performance.

Suzhou Cornigs Polyols Co., Ltd. is the first professional company in China engaged in the research, development, production, and application of polyols. It is selected as a key development project for leading talents in scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship in Suzhou. The company has pioneered the leading technology platform for the entire industry chain of polyol production and application, having developed over 20 polyol products and applied for 29 intellectual property rights including patents, software copyrights, and trademarks. Currently, it has successfully entered new industries such as precision electronics, new materials, new energy, and biomedicine. With the advent of the "dual-carbon economy," the company's newly developed products such as biodegradable materials and rare sugars for biomedical use are expected to enter new markets worth trillions of dollars. The company anticipates becoming a demonstration enterprise for the development and utilization of polyols with an annual output value exceeding 500 million yuan by 2025!

"Thermal Entropy Ultra High-Temperature Resistant Insulation Composite Material"

Research on vacuum insulation materials in China started as late as in 2000, resulting in a relatively slow industrial development. Currently, domestic vacuum insulation products are mainly used on a small scale in refrigerators and buildings, with PE as the film material, usable within a temperature range of -40°C to 90°C, lacking resistance to extreme cold and high temperatures, leaving a gap in the field of extreme temperatures.

The ultra high-temperature resistant insulation composite material in this project is composed of a micro-nano porous core material, a low gas-permeable ultra-thin metal film, and gas adsorbent material. Based on the principle of vacuum insulation, it maximizes the vacuum degree inside the film to eliminate gas heat convection and utilizes gas adsorbent materials to absorb water vapor, nitrogen, and oxygen contained in the composite material to maintain internal vacuum. The film material is filled with low thermal conductivity porous core material to reduce solid heat conduction, and the metal layer of the film material reflects heat radiation, achieving efficient insulation.

 

This product features insulation, high-temperature resistance, fire resistance, energy saving, and recyclability, with extensive development prospects in nuclear power, aerospace, medical cold chain, metallurgy, and petrochemical industries.

The Pine Nut Learning Society focuses on pre-employment education, providing comprehensive assessments of students' abilities through career positioning, targeted learning of vocational skills through knowledge services, and assistance in job search and employment through internships and practical experiences. The project has covered over 1000 universities nationwide, with a fan base of over 1 million. It has established city branches in five first-tier cities including Beijing and has organized 1200 brand activities such as the Global Outstanding Youth CRI May Fourth Youth Forum and the 2021 Global Elite Youth Future Innovators in cities like Nanjing and Shanghai. The society has also established a mentor advisory team composed of doctoral experts from world-renowned universities such as Harvard and Tsinghua. The Pine Nut Learning Society is committed to empowering the professional growth of young people, aiming to cover over 2000 universities at home and abroad in the next three years, accumulate over 10 million users, and cooperate with over 1000 influential companies.

Proposition: Research and Industrialization of High-Performance Nano-Porous Aerogel Composite Materials

Addressing the current challenges in the metallurgical industry, such as the high thermal conductivity of insulation materials used in high-temperature equipment with temperatures exceeding 1200°C and the poor temperature resistance and high cost of existing aerogel products, this project has innovatively invented a gradient aluminum-silicon composite aerogel material. Through theoretical calculations and model building to optimize material design, the project invented a sol particle nucleation and growth technology, ensuring the product's low thermal conductivity while increasing its temperature resistance to 1300°C. The project also optimized bulk solid waste, invented a new preparation process and equipment, significantly reducing the cost and production cycle of the product. A pilot production workshop has been established for trial production applications. The project team members have rich experience in the research and development of aerogel materials, and Professor Cui Sheng, as the advisor, is committed to the research and industrial application of new aerogel materials, with the assistance of multiple expert consultants. The direct economic benefit of the project implementation is approximately three times the investment cost, significantly reducing production energy consumption and carbon emissions, with broad prospects in the future market.
